Suryaa News Desk: The NDA alliance has secured the Guntur Municipal Corporation (GMC) following the municipal corporation election results. The alliance candidates maintained a clear lead across the city's 76 divisions.
Out of the 76 divisions, the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) won 48 seats, the Janasena Party won 13, and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) won 3. With a combined total of 64 seats, the NDA alliance has secured the mayoral position. The YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) won 11 seats, while others won one seat.
Alliance candidates maintained a clear lead from the beginning of the vote counting. Following the declaration of results, supporters of the TDP, Janasena, and BJP held celebrations across the city, including rallies and the bursting of firecrackers. Alliance leaders stated that the public mandate was for the comprehensive development of Guntur.
