Suryaa National Desk: The Central Government has informed the Delhi High Court that the century-old Khadimi Mosque located within the Krishi Bhawan premises in Delhi must be removed.

During proceedings, the Centre argued that religious structures are contrary to the secular nature of government properties. The report stated that the removal of the mosque is necessary to expedite the completion of the Central Vista redevelopment project.

Additionally, the Centre suggested that the Shahi Mosque, located within a two-kilometer radius, may be used as an alternative site for prayers.
