Suryaa Telangana Desk: The Telangana High Court has granted relief to Hyderabad Disaster Response and Asset Protection Agency (HYDRAA) Commissioner A.V. Ranganath. A division bench of the High Court has extended the stay on a previous single-bench order that directed his removal from the position. The stay will remain in effect until January 20 of next year.

The single bench had previously issued orders for the immediate removal of Ranganath from his duties as commissioner, citing petitions regarding court contempt and the violation of court orders. Following this, Ranganath challenged the single bench's ruling by filing an appeal with the division bench. The division bench had previously granted an interim stay on the single bench's order.

Following the latest hearing, the High Court extended the stay order and adjourned the matter. Consequently, Ranganath will continue to serve in his role as HYDRAA Commissioner.
