Suryaa Telangana Desk: Minister for Revenue, Housing, and Information and Public Relations, Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy, stated that the government is conducting a comprehensive land survey to provide permanent solutions to land disputes and ensure dispute-free land rights for every farmer. The government aims to survey every inch of land across the state within the next year, with re-surveys to be conducted in the presence of farmers.
The Minister held a review meeting at the Medchal-Malkajgiri District Collectorate on Wednesday regarding land surveys, revenue, stamps and registrations, and housing departments. The meeting was attended by Ranga Reddy District In-charge Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu and Legislative Assembly Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar.
Minister Ponguleti explained that the government intends to provide farmers with secure, comprehensive land records and passbooks similar to Aadhaar cards. In the first phase, land surveys will be conducted in selected revenue villages in every district. Officials, including Tahsildars, RDOs, Additional Collectors, and District Collectors, have been directed to monitor the survey process, with senior officials instructed to visit the villages at least once a week to address field-level issues.
The Minister emphasized that any objections from farmers, pending applications, boundary disputes, and survey-related problems must be reported to the government. He assured that issues requiring government-level intervention would be addressed promptly. This is the first such large-scale survey in approximately 125 years, aimed at resolving discrepancies in survey numbers, actual land possession status, boundary disputes between revenue and forest departments, and issues related to patta land boundaries.
The Minister warned that action would be taken against officials who are negligent in their duties. Furthermore, officials were directed to identify and resolve issues related to 22A lands that do not fall under existing government orders and memos. The meeting was attended by Malkajgiri MP Eatala Rajender, various MLAs, the Managing Director of the State Housing Corporation, and the District Collectors of Medchal-Malkajgiri, Ranga Reddy, and Vikarabad.
