Suryaa News Desk: Authorities have implemented tight security arrangements for the municipal vote counting scheduled for Tuesday in the district. A three-tier security system has been established at counting centers in Anantapur, Tadipatri, Guntakal, Gooty, Kalyandurg, and Rayadurg to prevent untoward incidents.

SP P. Jagadeesh has directed officials and police personnel to maintain continuous surveillance at counting centers and strong rooms using CCTV cameras and drones to monitor suspicious movements. Only individuals with authorized identity cards and permits will be allowed inside. All entrants must undergo screening with metal detectors and handheld detectors, and personal belongings will be inspected to prevent the entry of weapons or prohibited items. Guidelines from the Election Commission and Returning Officers regarding cell phones, cameras, and electronic devices must be strictly followed.

Barricades will be placed around counting centers to regulate movement and prevent disputes between counting staff and agents. Special police teams, route mobiles, striking forces, and reserve forces will be deployed, particularly in sensitive areas, while traffic will be regulated to prevent congestion.

Restrictions remain in place regarding victory rallies, processions, fireworks, and the use of DJs following the results. The police have warned against provoking rival party workers or engaging in retaliatory actions. Police Act 30 and Section 144 are in effect in these municipal towns. Authorities have warned that legal action will be taken against those spreading provocative posts, false propaganda, or hateful comments on social media. The SP has urged political leaders, candidates, workers, and the public to accept the results in a democratic spirit, maintain restraint, and cooperate with the police to ensure law and order.
