Suryaa Business Desk: Online food delivery platform Zomato has introduced a new service titled 'Limitless Delivery,' allowing customers to order food from restaurants located up to 40 kilometers away. Previously, delivery options were restricted to nearby establishments.
The service is currently available in seven major metropolitan cities: Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, and Pune. Zomato CEO Aditya Mangla stated that the initiative aims to provide customers with access to a wider range of food outlets across their respective cities. The company clarified that 40 kilometers is the maximum limit and that the service is limited to select participating outlets rather than all restaurants within that range.
Users can access this service through the Zomato app by selecting the 'Limitless Delivery' shortcut located under the 'Explore More' section on the homepage, which displays a list of eligible distant restaurants. Alternatively, users can search for a specific restaurant name in the app's search bar; if the outlet is part of the long-distance service, it will appear in the results. The company noted that delivery times for these orders may be longer than standard deliveries due to the increased distance.
