Suryaa Telangana Desk: Excise officials in Nawada district have arrested two individuals for smuggling foreign liquor using a modified Bolero SUV. The vehicle was intercepted during a routine check at the Govindpur excise checkpoint while crossing from Jharkhand into Bihar.
Upon inspection, officials discovered a secret compartment specially welded into the roof of the vehicle. Hundreds of liters of foreign liquor in tetra packs were recovered from the hidden cabin. Authorities have seized the vehicle and registered criminal cases against the two suspects under the Prohibition and Excise Act. An investigation is underway to determine the intended destination of the liquor and to identify the network behind the smuggling operation.
