Suryaa International Desk: US President Donald Trump has appointed his close associate and policy strategist Stephen Miller as the new White House Chief of Staff. Miller, 41, will serve as the 33rd White House Chief of Staff, succeeding Susie Wiles.
President Trump stated that Wiles provided excellent service and noted that changes are necessary as part of administrative strategy. Trump described Miller as a dedicated and capable individual who has been with him since the beginning of his political career. Miller previously served as White House Deputy Chief of Staff, Homeland Security Advisor, and as a Senior Advisor during Trump’s first term.
The appointment of Miller, who played a key role in the development of the administration's immigration policies, has drawn criticism from opposition Democrats, while Republican leaders have welcomed the move. International analysts suggest that this appointment may lead to a more aggressive implementation of the 'America First' agenda.
