Suryaa Business Desk: The World Bank has released projections regarding the future trajectory of gold in the international bullion market. In its latest 'Commodity Markets Outlook' report, the bank estimates that gold prices will average $4,000 per ounce by 2028.

According to the World Bank's analysis, gold prices are expected to average $4,600 per ounce in 2026, driven by geopolitical tensions, significant purchases by central banks, and inflationary pressures. As global economic conditions stabilize, the bank anticipates prices will gradually decline to $4,250 in 2027 and reach $4,000 by 2028.

Notably, international spot market prices are already nearing the $4,000 level following a recent correction from record highs. Currently, gold is trading in the range of $4,000 to $4,075, reflecting a decline of approximately 24 percent from its all-time peak. Analysts observe that the market has reached the price levels originally projected for four years into the future. Financial experts suggest that while significant further declines are unlikely, gold may remain in a consolidation phase for the next few years, and long-term investors are advised to allocate investments strategically.
