Suryaa Business Desk: A significant leadership change has occurred at the cryptocurrency exchange Binance. The company announced that Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Kaiser Ng is stepping down from his position. Justin Yek, a former executive at the payments firm Airwallex, will assume the role of the new CFO.

Binance co-founder and co-CEO Yi He stated that Kaiser Ng, who served the company for over five years, made the decision to focus on new business projects in the future.

This leadership change follows a recent cyberattack on the crypto platform involving the theft of approximately 6.3 billion dollars in digital currency. Binance management clarified that there is no connection between this personnel change and the recent hacking incident, noting that plans for this transition have been in place for the past six months. The company acknowledged Kaiser Ng’s long-term contributions to managing its financial affairs.

Justin Yek is an expert with extensive experience in the global finance sector. The company expressed confidence that he will play a key role in achieving Binance's future growth targets and strengthening its financial system. Currently, the exchange is primarily focused on ensuring the security of user funds following the recent cyberattack. Crypto market participants are observing how this leadership transition will impact Binance's future financial operations.
