Suryaa International Desk: Saudi Arabia’s Civil Defense has issued an 'all-clear' declaration, ending a high-alert status in several cities within the country's Eastern Province. Authorities confirmed that the threat has subsided and residents may resume normal activities.
Prior to the announcement, the Civil Defense agency had issued emergency sirens and security warnings in Dhahran, where the Saudi Aramco headquarters is located, as well as in Dammam, Abqaiq, and Al-Ahsa. These alerts followed reports of a potential threat from missile and drone attacks, prompting residents and employees to move to safer areas.
The Saudi-led coalition forces reported that they successfully intercepted and destroyed a ballistic missile launched by Houthi rebels targeting the eastern region. Officials confirmed that the air defense systems neutralized the threat, resulting in no loss of life or property damage. Following the confirmation that the danger had passed, the Civil Defense issued the official all-clear. Security surveillance remains active across Gulf nations following an increase in Houthi missile attacks targeting oil facilities and airports in West Asia.
