Suryaa News Desk: State Water Resources Minister Nimmala Ramanaidu cast his vote in his native village of Agarthipalem, Palakollu constituency, during the local body elections on Thursday.

Speaking to the media, Minister Ramanaidu stated that there is public satisfaction regarding the development and welfare programs implemented by the coalition government. He asserted that the public is offering one-sided support to coalition candidates, which he cited as evidence of the trust and confidence people have in the administration.

The Minister criticized the previous YSRCP government, alleging that it left the state's financial situation in a critical state. He credited Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu with steering the state toward development through initiatives such as NTR Bharosa pensions, Talli ki Vandanam, free cooking gas cylinders, free RTC bus travel for women, and Anna Canteens.

Regarding the election, the Minister claimed that the public is concerned about potential violence if the opposition returns to power. He observed that the polling trends for MPTC and ZPTC elections indicate a one-sided victory for coalition candidates.

Addressing the recent impact of two cyclones, the Minister stated that Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu managed the situation effectively to prevent loss of life. He announced that compensation for paddy farmers affected by the cyclones will be increased from Rs 16,000 to Rs 25,000 per hectare.

Minister Ramanaidu added that he has instructed officials to prepare comprehensive assessments regarding damages to coconut and banana plantations, as well as residential properties. Furthermore, he noted that the government is providing 50 kilograms of rice and five types of essential commodities to fishermen and weaver families, while other affected families are receiving 10 kilograms of rice free of charge.
