Suryaa National Desk: External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar has called for an end to the trend of relying on single countries or trade routes, emphasizing the need to explore alternative paths to address gaps in supply chains. He noted that trade volumes among Commonwealth nations could be significantly increased by expanding digital technology, green energy, and economic partnerships.
Jaishankar stated that joint strategies are necessary to provide economic protection to developing nations and to help small island countries overcome climate and economic crises. He emphasized that trade agreements based on mutual trust and transparency would benefit every nation and called for member countries to work together toward inclusive growth.
The External Affairs Minister reiterated that India remains committed to maintaining friendly relations with all partner nations and ensuring the stability of supply chains. Diplomatic experts suggest that the views expressed at the summit could strengthen future trade relations among Commonwealth nations and establish a foundation for industrial development.
