Suryaa Telangana Desk: State Chief Electoral Officer Sudarshan Reddy has directed officials to accelerate the verification process for Graduate MLC voter applications, mandating its completion within the next 15 days. The directive was issued during a video conference held on Thursday from Hyderabad with all district collectors to review the preparation of the voter list and the processing of Form-18 applications.
During the meeting, the Chief Electoral Officer emphasized that the registration process must be conducted without delay to ensure all eligible individuals are granted voting rights. He also instructed that Elector Literacy Clubs be established in all districts to raise awareness among students and youth regarding the importance of voting and the democratic process.
Siddipet District Collector K. Hymavathi, who participated in the video conference, reported that 6,898 Form-18 applications have been received across four mandals in the district. She stated that over 60 percent of these applications have already been approved. The Collector confirmed that officials will work in coordination to ensure the remaining applications are thoroughly verified and processed within the 15-day timeframe set by the State Chief Electoral Officer.
