Suryaa Telangana Desk: An awareness program on the Khet Bachao Abhiyan was organized by the Agriculture Department in Manmarri village, Shahbad mandal.
Mandal Agriculture Officer Dandem Vijaychandra advised farmers to use fertilizers based on soil health test results and to prioritize organic farming. In light of the El Niño effect, officials recommended that farmers cultivate pulses, oilseeds, and vegetables instead of paddy during the Yasangi season.
Farmers were also advised to avoid burning crop residues to preserve soil fertility and to use water efficiently to reduce cultivation costs. The event was attended by Sarpanch Lalapeta Bandayya, Deputy Sarpanch Begari Shankarayya, AEO Mounika, and local farmers.
