Suryaa Sports Desk: The International Cricket Council (ICC) has officially released the list of nominations for the Player of the Month award for October. The nominees were selected based on performances in both men's and women's categories.
In the men's category, South African all-rounder Marco Jansen, West Indies captain Shai Hope, and Pakistan player Arafat Minhas have been nominated. There are no Indian male cricketers included in this list. Marco Jansen played a key role in South Africa's 2-1 Test series win against Australia at home, while Shai Hope scored two centuries during the tour of India. Arafat Minhas delivered an impressive performance in a tri-series.
In the women's category, Indian all-rounder Deepti Sharma has been nominated following her performance in the white-ball series against Zimbabwe, where she scored a century and took wickets. Deepti Sharma, who last won this award in December 2023, is joined in the final list by Australia's Annabel Sutherland and Bangladesh's Shobhana Mostary, both of whom performed well in recent series.
