Suryaa Telangana Desk: District Education Officer (DEO) I. Vijaya Kumari and Mandal Education Officer (MEO) Lakshman Singh visited the Government PS Police Line School and Government Police Line High School. During the parent-teacher meetings held at these institutions, DEO I. Vijaya Kumari urged parents to ensure their children attend school daily. She requested that parents visit the schools to monitor the mid-day meal program and inquire about their children's academic progress.

The DEO emphasized the importance of Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN), stating that students should be proficient in basic arithmetic—addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division—as well as reading in Telugu and English. She advised parents to spend one to two hours at home assisting their children with their studies.

Highlighting the facilities provided by the government, the DEO noted that government schools offer quality education, breakfast, uniforms, shoes, belts, socks, free textbooks, and mid-day meals. She encouraged parents to enroll their children in government schools to ensure their future success.

During the visit, the DEO inspected the mid-day meal arrangements. She instructed the kitchen staff to maintain cleanliness and hygiene, specifically regarding the storage of cooking oil and other supplies, and emphasized that the staff themselves must maintain personal cleanliness. The event was attended by school headmasters, teaching staff, and parents.
