Suryaa Telangana Desk: Telangana Rakshana Sena Greater Hyderabad President and Serilingampally constituency in-charge, Vasili Chandrashekhar Prasad, has demanded that the government allocate lands located in survey numbers 100 and 101 in Miyapur to eligible Telangana movement activists, families of martyrs, and the poor.
Following a recent Supreme Court judgment identifying these survey numbers as government land, Prasad visited the site on Tuesday with party leaders. He stated that approximately 15,000 poor families have been residing in the area for the past 30 years. He noted that the Supreme Court verdict has caused concern among local residents and requested the government to provide clarity regarding their future.
Prasad specifically highlighted the need for the government to provide assurance to residents in MA Nagar, Stalin Nagar, PA Nagar, and Prashanth Nagar. He pointed out that while the Collector has stated that current residents will not be disturbed, the Chief Minister’s announcement regarding the sale of 550 acres of land, including vacant plots, has created confusion and fear among the public.
He demanded that the government issue a clear statement on the matter and regularize the homes of the poor who have lived there for decades. He suggested that instead of allocating these lands to corporate entities, they should be given to eligible movement activists, families of martyrs, and poor individuals in Greater Hyderabad who do not own homes.
Prasad emphasized that these lands are linked to the livelihoods of the poor and urged the government to take action to protect their rights. He warned that if injustice occurs against the residents of MA Nagar, Stalin Nagar, PA Nagar, and Prashanth Nagar, the Telangana Rakshana Sena will launch a statewide protest in support of the poor.
The event was attended by Telangana Rakshana Sena leaders including Guda Lavanya, Vishnu Chari, Kumar Yadav, Sujatha, Praveen Bijili, Srinivas Netha, Sandeep, and Ravi Kumar.
