Suryaa National Desk: Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh stated that the armed forces must be prepared to counter emerging security challenges in line with changing times. While interacting with Air Force personnel at the Bagdogra Air Force Station in West Bengal on the occasion of Diwali, the Minister emphasized that the three wings of the armed forces must remain vigilant against traditional warfare tactics, cyberattacks, drone threats, and strategic attacks on communication networks.

Rajnath Singh expressed concern that adversaries are increasingly using social media to spread misinformation to create insecurity among the public and soldiers instead of engaging in direct warfare. He suggested that forces can effectively counter such conspiracies by fostering good relations with local populations.

The Minister praised the Air Force for its vital role in national security. He noted that domestic startups and industries are developing advanced technology to achieve the goal of Atmanirbhar Bharat in the defence sector. Additionally, he stated that recent cabinet decisions regarding Agniveers will be beneficial for their future.
