Suryaa News Desk: District Election Officer and Collector S. Ramsunder Reddy announced that public campaigning for the ZPTC and MPTC elections in Vizianagaram, scheduled for November 5, will conclude on Tuesday, November 3, at 5:00 PM. The Collector stated that, per State Election Commission regulations, the campaign period ends 48 hours before the close of polling.

Political leaders, star campaigners, and workers from other regions who do not have voting rights in the respective constituencies must leave those areas by 5:00 PM on Tuesday. After this deadline, the use of microphones, loudspeakers, rallies, roadshows, and public meetings is prohibited. Door-to-door campaigning must strictly adhere to election rules.

The Collector noted that the cyber department will monitor social media, WhatsApp groups, and SMS for messages or advertisements intended to influence voters until the election code concludes. A complete ban on liquor sales will be in effect in the election areas from the end of the campaign until the conclusion of polling. Checkposts will be established at borders to prevent illegal transportation. The Collector urged political parties, candidates, and voters to cooperate for a fair and peaceful election, warning that legal action will be taken against any violations.
