Suryaa Sports Desk: Organizers have officially announced that the fifth season of the Prime Volleyball League (PVL) will be held in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The month-long tournament is scheduled to begin on November 30 at the Veer Savarkar Sports Complex in Naranpura, Ahmedabad.
Recognized by the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) as India's first division professional volleyball league, the tournament will feature top players from India and abroad. Ten franchise teams will compete for the trophy: Ahmedabad Defenders, Bengaluru Torpedoes, Calicut Heroes, Chennai Blitz, Delhi Toofans, Goa Guardians, Kochi Blue Spikers, Kolkata Thunderbolts, Mumbai Meteors, and Telugu Black Hawks. Bengaluru Torpedoes enter the season as the defending champions. Organizers stated that the league aims to promote professional volleyball in the country and provide a platform for players.
