Suryaa News Desk: The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) candidates have achieved significant victories in the local body elections held in Meliaputti. Out of the 15 MPTC seats contested, TDP candidates emerged victorious in several areas.
A notable result occurred in the Kosamala MPTC constituency, where TDP candidate Salana Rohini won with a majority of 701 votes, marking the highest margin in the mandal. This lead was supported by results in Kosamala, Vasundhara, and Nadasandra villages. Observers attribute this success to the development programs implemented in the region by PACS President Salana Mohan Rao, who is the uncle of the candidate.
Other successful MPTC candidates include Bairasingi Dinakar from Marripadu-C, K. Tirupathi Rao from Goppili, D. Damodar from Chapara, and S. Varalu from Pattupuram. Additionally, Burla Lalithakumari from Peddalakshmipuram, Savara Vanamma from Rattini, Bairasingi Lalitha from Venkatapuram, and Urlana Sampathirao from Pedda Padmapuram also secured victories.
TDP sources state that the welfare schemes and development programs implemented by the coalition government led by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan influenced the election results. Local leaders also expressed that the public supported the development efforts of Pathapatnam MLA Mamidi Govinda Rao. Following these results, supporters and party workers held celebrations in the respective areas. Political analysts suggest that these wins reinforce the TDP's strong presence in the Meliaputti mandal.
