Suryaa Telangana Desk: Illegal firecracker sales are reportedly taking place in the main center of Lakshminagaram. Despite official directives requiring police and fire safety permits for such sales, and mandates that stalls be located away from residential and crowded areas, these businesses are operating without authorization.
The stalls are situated along a main road with high pedestrian and vehicle traffic, storing large quantities of firecrackers without safety precautions. Local residents have requested that authorities take action against these unauthorized shops.
Dummugudem CI Venkatappaiah stated that the police department has not issued any permits for firecracker sales in Lakshminagaram. He further added that the department will investigate the matter and take necessary action.
