Suryaa Sports Desk: Young Indian pacer Gurnoor Brar delivered a notable performance during the first ODI against New Zealand. Despite conceding a six to batter Tim Seifert in the opening over, Brar adjusted his bowling strategy following consultations with senior bowlers Arshdeep Singh and Anshul Kamboj.

Brar stated that after the initial six, he discussed his approach with Arshdeep and Anshul. The seniors advised him to utilize his height and bowl at a hard length. They suggested that delivering the ball at a fast pace to hit the pitch slightly further back would generate additional bounce, making it difficult for the batter to play shots.

Implementing this plan, Brar successfully dismissed Tim Seifert. He went on to take a total of three wickets in the match. The collective performance of the bowlers resulted in New Zealand being bowled out for a low score.
