Suryaa National Desk: A major fire broke out at a plastic wholesale shop located opposite the ITI college in Bilimora town, Navsari district, Gujarat. The incident occurred after midnight on Friday.

The fire began in materials stored at the back of the shop and spread rapidly throughout the premises. Due to the large quantity of plastic items stored, thick smoke and flames engulfed the surrounding area.

Upon receiving information, the Bilimora Municipality fire brigade arrived at the scene. Due to the intensity of the fire, additional fire engines from the nearby Gandevi Municipality were called in. Firefighters from both teams worked for approximately one hour to bring the blaze under control, preventing it from spreading to adjacent commercial buildings.

The shop owner stated that plastic goods worth approximately eight to ten lakh rupees were destroyed in the fire. Officials confirmed that there were no casualties or injuries. Preliminary suspicions suggest the fire may have been caused by firecracker debris falling during the festive period. Police have registered a case and are investigating to determine the exact cause of the accident.
