Suryaa Entertainment Desk: Renowned Bollywood director and choreographer Farah Khan has stated that the film industry environment consistently subjects individuals to feelings of inferiority and deep insecurity. She observed that while the journey behind the silver screen appears glamorous from the outside, it involves significant mental stress and constant anxiety internally.

Khan explained that individuals in the industry frequently compare their own standing and projects with those of their peers. She warned that this trend of constant comparison poses a risk of causing talented people to suffer mentally. Drawing from her long experience, she noted that people in the industry often struggle with the fear of falling behind. She added that when a fellow director or actor announces a new project, the feeling of having no plans leads to extreme anxiety.

Khan recalled experiencing this same mental conflict and insecurity before her directorial debut with the film Main Hoon Na. She expressed concern that the competitive nature of the industry causes many to lose their personal happiness, leading to mental health issues.

Khan clarified that as she aged and spent more years in the industry, she moved past this unhealthy competitive mindset. She stated that after crossing the age of fifty, she stopped thinking about such external comparisons and began focusing on what she personally enjoys. She decided to let go of unnecessary stress to lead a peaceful life. She expressed that this positive perspective allowed her to start a new creative journey across films, social media, and YouTube, which she noted has received a positive response from the audience.
