Suryaa Telangana Desk: MLA Gandhi, HYDRAA Commissioner AV Ranganath, and Kukatpally Zonal Commissioner Mayank Singh inspected the restoration, beautification, and development works at Thammidikunta Lake in Khanamet on Saturday. Officials were instructed to expedite the remaining tasks ahead of the inauguration by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy on the 11th.
During the inspection, it was noted that measures have been taken to remove encroachments and restore the lake. To prevent sewage inflow, a UGD pipeline and an STP are being constructed. Additional works include strengthening the lake embankment, repairing the weir, installing fencing, and developing a walking track and landscaping. Plans include cultivating lotus flowers and increasing greenery to provide an improved environment. Officials were directed to maintain quality standards and complete the project within the stipulated deadline. The officials stated that all lakes in the constituency will be protected and beautified. HYDRAA officials, local leaders, and workers participated in the event.
