Suryaa Telangana Desk: Kangti Circle Inspector Venkat Reddy issued a statement on Friday regarding the upcoming Diwali festival. He cautioned the residents of Kangti, Sirgapur, and Kalher mandals to refrain from gambling.
The Inspector stated that legal cases will be registered against anyone found playing or organizing gambling activities. He added that property owners who provide space for such activities in villages will also face action.
The official noted that gambling can lead to financial loss, debt, and domestic disputes, and expressed concern that some individuals ruin their lives due to addictions to gambling and alcohol. He advised the public to avoid gambling and celebrate the festival peacefully.
The police have requested that information regarding any gambling activities in villages be reported to them immediately. The authorities have assured that the identities of those providing such information will be kept confidential.
