Suryaa National Desk: A brutal incident has been reported from Kannauj district, Uttar Pradesh, where a man allegedly burned his wife to death. The accused, identified as Sukhbir Singh, reportedly tied his wife, Sonam, to a chair and set her on fire after pouring petrol on her.
The couple had a love marriage eleven years ago and are parents to a seven-year-old son and a five-year-old daughter. Sukhbir Singh, who works in a different area, had returned to his village two days prior to the incident. According to reports, the accused suspected his wife of having an extra-marital affair after observing her speaking to another man on the phone. This led to a heated argument between the couple.
Following the argument, the accused tied the victim to a chair and set her on fire. The victim died at the scene. Upon receiving information about the incident, police arrived at the location to collect details. The body has been sent for a post-mortem examination, and a case has been registered against the accused as the investigation continues.
