Suryaa News Desk: Former MPTC and YSRCP Mandal Convener Bommana Ravindranath Reddy announced his candidacy for the Sarpanch election, stating that his goal is to provide corruption-free governance and commit to the development of Veldurthi. He addressed a meeting of party workers at his residence on Sunday.

Regarding local issues, Ravindranath Reddy stated that during the previous YSRCP government, former Pattikonda MLA Kangati Sridevamma addressed drinking water shortages by initiating pipeline projects from the Krishnagiri reservoir. He noted that additional pipelines were laid from Togarchedu and Brahmagundam under the Jal Jeevan Mission. However, he acknowledged that water shortages persist in Veldurthi and pledged that if elected, he would take necessary measures through the panchayat to resolve the issue.

He further stated that road expansion from the SC boys' hostel to the Dhone railway gate is planned for after 2029. He also highlighted that a 30-bed government hospital was constructed during the YSRCP tenure, which currently serves over 300 outpatients daily.

The meeting was attended by various local leaders, including former Brahmagundam temple chairman Bommana Peddireddy, Manavapati Ella Nagireddy, former ZPTC Dadipogu Sunkanna, and several other party members and residents from 15 wards.
