Suryaa Telangana Desk: Diwali celebrations were held at the residence of an Indiramma housing scheme beneficiary in Peddireddigudem village, located within the Annapureddypalli mandal of the Ashwaraopeta constituency in Bhadradri Kothagudem district. The event was led by Congress mandal youth president Vemula Naresh Babu.
Families who previously resided in sheds have moved into houses sanctioned under the Indiramma housing scheme. The house was decorated with colorful rangoli, mango leaves, and lamps for the festival.
During the event, the Congress mandal youth president stated that the government aims to fulfill the dream of home ownership for the poor. He credited Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy, and MLA Jare Adinarayana for the sanctioning of houses to eligible individuals in the mandal. He further stated that the government intends to ensure the mandal is free of thatched huts. The celebration was held in accordance with the directives of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy.
The event was attended by Sarpanch Sunnam Nagabhushanam, district leader Vemula Ramana, and various mandal, minority, women, and youth leaders.
