Suryaa News Desk: Voting for local body elections is underway in Kakinada district, with voters gathering at polling stations since Thursday morning.
A tense situation developed at the Mangiturthi polling station. YSRCP leaders raised objections, alleging that leaders from the ruling Alliance were campaigning directly among voters waiting in line at the polling center. This led to a verbal argument between the two groups, escalating into a clash.
Police intervened to disperse the Alliance and YSRCP members from the vicinity of the polling station. Currently, the voting process is continuing peacefully under heavy security.
