Suryaa News Desk: Rainfall in Palakollu has resulted in the inundation of low-lying areas, causing significant hardship for local residents. Drainage systems have overflowed, leading to sewage entering homes in various parts of the town.
Areas including Housing Board Colony, Badvanipeta, and the Railway Station Road have been particularly affected, with rainwater flooding the streets. Knee-deep water on main roads has disrupted traffic, causing difficulties for pedestrians and two-wheeler riders.
Residents have expressed concern over the recurring nature of these issues during rainfall. There is public criticism regarding the lack of preventive measures, such as desilting of drains and improvements to the drainage system.
