Suryaa Telangana Desk: Police have solved a case involving the murder of two elderly women living alone in Vachanoor village, Thimmapur mandal. Police Commissioner Ghouse Alam stated that four suspects have been arrested, while one suspect remains at large.

The suspects murdered 103-year-old Uppuleti Bhudamma on August 16 and 80-year-old Uppuleti Lakshmi, alias Lachavva, on October 31. The perpetrators stole gold and silver jewelry from the victims. Investigations revealed that the suspects attempted to make the deaths appear as natural causes due to the victims' advanced age.

Police took two suspects into custody during vehicle inspections at Alugunoor crossroads on Saturday. During questioning, they admitted their involvement in both murders, leading to the subsequent arrest of two more individuals. The arrested suspects are Madduri Sai, Kinnera Raju, Elkathurthi Raju, and Manukola Pavan Kumar. Kanaparthi Manikanta is currently absconding.

Authorities seized a TVS Jupiter scooter, a Bajaj Pulsar motorcycle, silver bangles, five cell phones, and other items from the suspects. Commissioner Ghouse Alam commended the rural ACP, Thimmapur CI, SIs, and police personnel for solving the case. Police have advised families to ensure elderly individuals living in rural areas are not left alone, to remain cautious regarding valuable jewelry, and to install CC cameras in villages. They also requested that information regarding suspicious persons or antisocial activities be reported.
