A special nationwide Digital Life Certificate (DLC) has launched a special campaign to enable pensioners to submit their Jeevan Praman documents easily without any hassle.
The Union Ministry of Personnel has announced that this massive program will be organized in more than two thousand cities and districts across the country for a month from November 1 to November 30. It is remarkable that this is the biggest DLC campaign in the programs undertaken so far. This particular campaign is mainly aimed at promoting the use of face authentication technology. Through Android and IOS smartphones, old age pensioners have access to state-of-the-art technology facilities to easily generate their digital life certificates from anywhere in just a matter of seconds.
The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology as well as the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) are jointly providing the necessary technical support for this campaign. The Central Government is all set to make these services accessible to the old age pensioners in remote areas of the country. The program will be implemented on a whole-of-government basis with the coordination of Pension Disbursing Banks, India Post Payments Bank, Employees Provident Fund Organization (EPFO), Railways and State Governments. Besides conducting this month-long campaign in a festive atmosphere, the authorities have arranged for the convenience of pensioners to provide special health check-ups, Aadhaar update services as well as doorstep services to the needy.
