SURYAA NOW DESK: Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee President YS Sharmila has broken her silence regarding the ongoing controversy surrounding the wedding venue of her daughter, YS Anjili Reddy, and the Yelahanka property dispute. In a detailed and emotional statement shared on social media, she clarified her stance on the property and the decision to move the wedding venue.
Here is the complete statement released by YS Sharmila:
-
Clarification on Property Ownership: Sharmila firmly stated that she does not possess the petty mindset of craving things that do not belong to her. She clarified that after YS Jagan Mohan Reddy became Chief Minister, the jointly held Yelahanka property was completely and fully (100 percent) allocated to her and her children as part of the property settlement. She stressed that this is the absolute truth, witnessed by God.
-
Heartbreak Over Unfulfilled Wish: Since it was the house where the late YSR lived, and as her daughter Anjili desired, they initially wanted to hold the wedding at that very house. Mentioning that every parent dreams of performing their child's wedding in their own home, Sharmila expressed deep grief and heartbreak that they could not fulfill her daughter’s wish for the home she grew up in to be her wedding venue.
-
Commitment to a Peaceful Wedding: Expressing gratitude to everyone who felt concerned about her daughter amid the developments surrounding the wedding venue, Sharmila emphasized that it is their responsibility to ensure the arranged marriage between YS Anjili Reddy and Somala Raghurama Reddy is conducted smoothly, peacefully, and without any disputes or conflicts.
-
Change of Venue: Consequently, they have decided to hold the wedding ceremony not at the Yelahanka house, but at an alternative venue in the presence of relatives, friends, and loved ones. She concluded by sincerely wishing for the blessings and good wishes of the Telugu people for the soon-to-be-married couple.
