Support price should be provided to the farmers without the involvement of middlemen -Inauguration of IKP grain purchase center at Gurralogandi Sarpanch Akula Swapna Harish Siddipet Rural: Gurlagondi village sarpanch Akula Swapna Harish said that the grain grown by the farmers should be sold in government purchase centers without the involvement of middlemen and get support price. On Friday, she along with APM Chandra inaugurated the grain purchase center set up under the auspices of IKP in Gurralagondi village of Narayana Raopet mandal.
On this occasion, Sarpanch Akula Swapna Harish said that the process of grain purchase should be conducted transparently so that farmers do not face any difficulties. Farmers were asked to sell their grain at the government procurement centers instead of resorting to middlemen and get the support price announced by the government. He said that the gram panchayat will provide full cooperation to ensure that the purchases are done smoothly with the welfare of the farmers in mind.
It was suggested to take steps to ensure that there is no delay in the purchase of grain by providing necessary facilities to the farmers. Subsarpanch Krishna, ward members Raju, Sujatha, Vijaya, Panchayat Secretary Ramadevi, CC Hemalatha, IKP staff, farmers, village elders, youth, Hamali community members and others participated in this program.
