Suryaa National Desk: Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang has officially unveiled the logo and website for the Institute for Transforming Sikkim at his official residence, Mintokgang, in Gangtok. The institute is established to serve as a multidisciplinary think tank aimed at the comprehensive development and strategic planning of the state.

The Chief Minister stated that the institute will function as an intellectual backbone, bringing together policymakers, experts, researchers, and academic institutions. He noted that the organization will focus on evidence-based policy formulation and transparent governance, with the primary goal of building a prosperous and empowered Sikkim.

The institute will prioritize key sectors including agriculture, education, healthcare, tourism, infrastructure, energy, employment, and climate resilience. The government aims to balance economic progress with environmental conservation, ensuring development benefits reach all citizens.

The logo and website were developed by the state’s Information Technology Department. The institute is expected to promote grassroots planning, improve coordination between government departments, and monitor development programs. These efforts are aligned with the central government’s Viksit Bharat 2047 initiative to ensure long-term sustainable development for the state.
