Suryaa International Desk: Russian security forces have successfully thwarted a planned terrorist attack following intelligence provided by the United States. The Federal Security Service (FSB) apprehended a minor who allegedly conspired to carry out an act of violence in a prominent public park in Russia.
According to official statements from the FSB, the suspect was identified and arrested based on a critical tip-off received from US security agencies. Preliminary investigations indicate that the minor had planned the attack under the influence of terrorist organizations. Intelligence sources stated that the suspect had prepared a detailed plan to target a crowded public area.
Upon receiving the information, Russian security forces acted immediately to take the suspect into custody. Officials reported that dangerous items and digital devices intended for use in the attack were seized from the minor.
The FSB confirmed that the minor is being processed under juvenile justice laws. A comprehensive investigation is currently underway to determine if others were involved in the conspiracy. Security experts noted the significance of this intelligence sharing between the two nations, despite current strained diplomatic relations, as a necessary measure in the global fight against terrorism to protect civilian lives.
