Suryaa International Desk: Israeli airstrikes on the Gaza Strip have intensified, resulting in the deaths of eight Palestinians on Sunday. According to the Gaza Health Ministry and emergency medical services, the strikes primarily targeted Khan Younis and Gaza City. Reports confirm that the casualties include five police officers and one child.

Five people died in the attack on Khan Younis, while three others were killed in a separate airstrike in Gaza City. Civil defense personnel are working to recover individuals trapped under debris, and those injured have been transported to nearby hospitals. The strikes caused significant damage to residential homes and local structures. Local authorities expressed shock that personnel involved in civilian protection and the coordination of essential goods were also targeted.

Despite ongoing diplomatic efforts by the international community to reach a ceasefire, the continuation of these attacks remains a concern. The ongoing military actions have severely impacted civilian life in Gaza, exacerbating existing shortages of food, medicine, and drinking water.

International pressure is mounting to halt the military operations to prevent a humanitarian crisis. The United Nations and allied nations have called for an immediate cessation of hostilities. Political analysts suggest that the renewed violence is hindering peace efforts in the Middle East.
