Suryaa National Desk: Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the Bastar region in Chhattisgarh and celebrated Diwali with the security forces deployed there. Upon arriving at the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) camp located in Karanpur near Jagdalpur in Bastar, the Prime Minister personally offered sweets to the jawans and extended his festival greetings. He also interacted with representatives of anti-Naxal forces working day and night for national defense, inquiring about their experiences and well-being.

Addressing the personnel on the occasion, Prime Minister Modi stated that celebrating festivals at the borders or among security forces every year has been his custom. He remarked that the soldiers continuously serving at the borders and in internal security are his real family members. Praising the sacrifices and dedicated service of the security forces, the Prime Minister extended a special salute to them.

Prime Minister Modi expressed optimism that the Bastar region, which was once a Naxal-affected area living under fear, is now moving rapidly toward peace and development because of the sacrifices and efforts of the security forces. He lauded the expansion of infrastructure, education, and healthcare facilities into every corner of the region.
