Suryaa National Desk: An IndiGo flight traveling from Karnataka's capital Bengaluru to Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh was turned back after a hijack threat note was discovered on board. The note was found while the aircraft was mid-air, causing panic among the flight crew and passengers. Recognizing the severity of the situation, the pilots immediately alerted Air Traffic Control officials and diverted the plane back to Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru.

Following the safe emergency landing in Bengaluru, security personnel took immediate action. The Central Industrial Security Force, the Bomb Disposal Squad, and airport security teams moved the aircraft to an isolation bay to conduct a thorough search. All passengers were safely disembarked, and security teams thoroughly inspected their luggage, as well as the cabin and cargo sections of the plane.

Security agencies and police have launched an investigation to ascertain where the threat note came from, who brought it on board, and whether the incident was a prank by a passenger or an intentional conspiracy. Investigators are examining the passenger list and boarding passes while questioning suspects. Airlines and airport officials clarified that flight operations will be restored only after security inspections are completed and full clearance is given.
