Suryaa International Desk: A 28-year-old Indian tourist in Pattaya, Thailand, reported a financial fraud involving a herbal shop. On October 28 at approximately 11:30 p.m., while walking along Pattaya Second Road, the tourist was approached by a foreign national who offered a herbal product for hair loss and weight loss at a price of 380 Thai Baht (approximately ₹1,075).

After agreeing to the purchase, the tourist provided a credit card for payment. Upon receiving a transaction notification, the tourist discovered that 27,600 Thai Baht (approximately ₹78,108)—72 times the agreed price—had been deducted. The victim subsequently filed a written complaint with the Pattaya City Police.

Following the police report, the group involved in the sale contacted the tourist and offered a full refund in exchange for the return of the product. Thai police stated that they are conducting a comprehensive investigation into networks targeting foreigners with such herbal product scams in the Beach Road and Second Road areas. Authorities confirmed that legal action regarding work permits and business licenses will be pursued regardless of the refund.
