Suryaa International Desk: International tourists, particularly those from India, have reported negative experiences regarding unauthorized hidden charges and scams near the Giza Pyramids in Egypt. A recent social media post by an Indian traveler highlighted instances where cab drivers allegedly charged up to ₹1,200 for trips that would typically cost ₹100.

According to the report, groups consisting of local cab drivers, camel ride operators, and unauthorized tour guides are targeting tourists. These individuals reportedly quote low prices initially, only to demand 10 to 12 times the amount upon reaching the destination. The traveler also noted that money is being demanded under the guise of "tips" for taking photographs or walking near the monuments.

To avoid such incidents, the traveler advised tourists to use verified ride-hailing applications for local transportation and to purchase entry tickets only from official counters. The post has gained significant attention on social media, with other tourists sharing similar experiences in the comments section.
