The Telugu Desam Party leadership favored former MLA Hemalatha and gave her the green signal. The ZP is fielding her from the Nagalapuram seat to win the Tirupati seat reserved for SC women. To this extent, as the party high command handed over the B-form to Hemalata on Tuesday, she will formally start her election campaign from tomorrow. Since SC is a reservation for women, many aspirants from the Telugu Desam Party contested for this prestigious position. At the same time, TDP district president Panabaka Lakshmi wanted to bring her second daughter, Dr.

Chetana, as her political successor. As the Srikalahasti ZPTC seat was also reserved for SC women, Dr. Chetana paved the way for her unanimous election from there. On the other hand, Satyavedu's former MLA Hemalatha filed nominations from four seats simultaneously and aroused interest everywhere. In the background of the political equations of the alliance alliances, Hemalatha took strategic steps to secure the seat of the ZP, regardless of which party gets this position. As part of this, Satyavedu has filed nominations as a joint candidate of TDP-Janasena in Varadaiyapalem, as a candidate of TDP in Nagalapuram and as a candidate of Janasena in Picchattur. Ultimately the party leadership decided to field her from the Nagalapuram seat considering her political seniority and commitment towards the party. Hemalatha, who has a long experience in politics as a former Satyavedu MLA, has never left the party since the beginning and continues to be in the TDP.

She achieved political success under the party flag as President of Mandal Parishad and MLA. However, in the 2014 and 2019 elections, Satyavedu's ticket expectations were disappointed. Even though she made strong efforts to field her daughter Helen in the 2024 elections, her hopes were not fulfilled in the wake of the change of the then sitting MLA Koneti Adimulam's party. However, he did not get discouraged and showed his loyalty by always coming forward in the party programs even if he did not get the ticket. With the blessings of Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and Minister Nara Lokesh, Hemalatha, who stood in the race for the chairperson of ZP, finally got due recognition for her hard work and loyalty to the party.  Nagesh Surya Special Representative
