He rued that if fake votes were to be removed for a transparent democratic system and a comprehensive voter list with eligible citizens was being drawn up, Congress and Samajwadi Party leaders who wanted to benefit from rigged elections were working on false campaigns. Eddewa pointed out that it has become a habit of the opposition to blame the EVMs and voter lists every time people lose faith in the elections. He made it clear that the aim of the Election Commission is to conduct transparent elections with a clean voter list, and if they oppose this, their ulterior motives are exposed.
