In view of the monsoon conditions in Telangana, the government has taken a key decision by declaring 365 mandals as drought mandals. It ordered immediate relief measures to be started in the drought affected areas to help the farmers and people.
The government has specially focused on regularizing the water supply to avoid drinking water shortages, avoiding shortage of fodder for livestock and speeding up rural employment guarantee work in these drought zones. The government has made it clear that the field level officials should continuously monitor the people so that they do not face any difficulties.
