Ambedkar Konaseema District Ambajipet on Sunday night Sri Vijaya Bhethalaswamy Vahana Mahotsav and Theertha was held in a grand and eye-catching manner. The celebrations organized under the auspices of the Ambajipet-Machavaram Sri Shettibalija Abhyudaya Welfare Association started on Sunday night and continued unabated till Monday morning. Shobhayatra in electric lights – special cultural performances: As part of the festival, 15 types of deity vehicles belonging to 14 palams were decorated with electric lights and green flowers and a shobhayatra was organized in the streets of the city. These chariots marched to the sound of melatalas and drum instruments and reached Sri Vijaya Bhethalaswamy Temple in Srinivasanagar. Garaga dances, cobra and shakti costumes have particularly impressed the devotees. The stunts performed by the youngsters with chedi talimbhana, sword fights and firecrackers left the audience in awe. Thousands of women and devotees gathered at the cultural venues set up at the intersection of four roads along with huge firework displays in the main centres.
Vahanamurthys from 14 Palams: In this festival, Garutmantudu from Srinivasanagar, Pechchettivaripalem, lion chariot from Machavaram Sriram Nagar, Lord Krishna from Dommetivaripalem, women's hospital Dommetivaripalem and Sri Anjaneyaswamy's vehicles from Poonadal. Also Sri Vijaya Ganapati from Gangalakurru turn, Swan vehicles from Machavaram Itikalamma temple and Kothapalem, Sri Shiridisaibaba from Chappidvaripalem, Lion vehicle from Guthulavaripalem, Sri Rajarajeshwaridevi from Nandampudi, Elephant vehicle from Srinivasanagar, Veeranjaneyaswamy from Machavaram Dam Centre, Lakshmi from Pechettivaripalem. Ganapati's vehicles gave darshan to the devotees. Strong Police Security Sighting of Celebrities: A strong police security was arranged under the supervision of SI Sheikh Subhani under the supervision of Kothapat DSP Sunkara Muralimohan, P. Gannavaram CI Rudra Raju Bhimaraju to prevent any untoward incident during the festival. Shettibalija Abhyudaya Welfare Association president and secretaries Dommeti Venkata Rama Rao, Mattaparthi Ramu, festival committee chairman Seelam Satya Arjuna Mohana Rao and others coordinated the arrangements. Devotees from surrounding areas of Konaseema along with public representatives of various political parties visited the Lord and performed special pujas.
