Suryaa Now International Desk: Poland's finance minister says there are huge opportunities to work with Germany in the space sector to strengthen European security. Poland's Finance Minister Andrzej Domanski made it clear that there are enormous opportunities to work with Germany in the space sector to strengthen European security. He made these key comments at a joint conference with German Finance Minister Katharina Reich recently. He stated that this partnership will contribute a lot to increase the self-reliance of European countries in addition to withstanding the intense competition from China and America in international trade.
He opined that external pressures can be effectively countered by jointly developing key technologies in the current global situation. Domansky emphasized the need to invest exclusively in cutting-edge technologies, which are currently not fully available in Europe, but which have become crucial for the common defense sector. He said that the space industry is a very important sector not only for economic development but also for national defense and sovereignty. He warned that without satellites of their own it would be impossible for countries to protect themselves and that countries without satellite services would be literally in the dark.
In this context, giving utmost priority to security in the space sector, he revealed that his country is ready to create a stronger activity than ever before with German partners. He explained that Poland has already doubled its investments in the space sector, and every Euro invested in this direction can not only generate six to seven times higher profits, but also increase domestic resilience. Analysts believe that this space cooperation with new strategic plans will not only strengthen the alliance between the two countries, but also lay a strong foundation for technological self-reliance within the European Union. These developments once again make clear the importance of European countries cooperating across borders in the fields of technology and defense to meet future challenges.
