Suryaa National Desk: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has warned that the country continues to face a serious threat from what he termed "Dimagi Naxals" (psychological or urban Naxals), even as security forces have effectively neutralized armed Maoists in the forests.

The Prime Minister stated that while a historic victory has been achieved in eliminating left-wing extremism on the ground, society must remain vigilant against ideological Naxalism. He noted that such forces aim to poison the thoughts of the youth and disrupt national systems.

Modi explained that while it is easier to identify and stop armed extremists, it is challenging to identify those who operate behind the mask of democratic systems to mislead the youth. He alleged that these individuals constantly create narratives to undermine the country's unity and integrity, thereby hindering national progress.

The Prime Minister further claimed that these forces are using the education sector, social media, and intellectual platforms to conspire against national interests. As India moves toward becoming a developed nation, he urged the public, particularly the youth, to remain alert against these disruptive elements. Modi emphasized the need for nationwide vigilance to counter this ongoing ideological war while maintaining the gains made by security forces on the ground.
